Victoria, BC
Our journey is coming to a close and we decided to do one last trip. My mom was here with us to drive home with me, so we coaxed her into staying with the boys while Jack and I took
a trip to Victoria BC. It was beautiful and also a great way to spend our
9 Year Anniversary!
It took a while to get there by car, boat, and a lot of lines. But Victoria is a beautiful city
full of culture. We had a great time.
Day and night photos of Parlament. Victoria is the capitol of BC.
The Empress Hotel is the oldest exhisting hotel in BC. It was built by the railroad traveleres in the 1800's and was mostly used by the very wealthy. We didn't stay here ($400 a night) but we spent time hanging around it.
We shopped around and rested (thanks to the Dramamine I took on the boat ride over) and ate the most delicious place for dinner - Il Terrazzo.
The next day we headed out to Butchart Gardens. It was beautiful and also hot. We lasted about two hours and fell asleep on the bus on the way home.
We read your blogs, Mel! Great stuff.
