Day 28

Gas Works Park

This park was awesome.  It was a rainy day, but we thought we would brave the weather.  It would rain on and off so we would catch the clear windows and get photos.

Gas Works Park is located at the North end of Lake Union right in the city.  It is awesome!  There are seaplanes landing and taking off at all times of the day.  It is also the lake where "Sleepless in Seattle" was filmed.  Here is Tom Hank's house (middle blue house).

It was also a place where a scene from "10 Things I Hate About  You" was filmed.  So I guess I can say...

Heath Ledger Was Here. :)

Ballard Locks

Next up was the Ballard Locks.  It was so cool to see how they enter and exit onto the ocean.  Because the river is higher, the boats go into locks to lower the water, then the doors release and the boats enter or exit. It's basically and elevator for the boats.
